1917 Mogul Kerosene Engine
This 15 horsepower engine was manufactured by the International Harvester Co. It starts on gasoline and runs on kerosene, consuming approximately 1 gallon of fuel per hour when the engine is running at idle. This engine is one of only 4 15 H.P. Mogul engines known to exist today. It was used to drive an ore crusher at the Nevens Mine in Melton, California.
It is used in the Museum's blacksmith shop to power the mechanical equipment.
